Miss Wells and Mrs Siddall WELCOME you.
We are a bespoke Nurture provision that helps to meet children’s specific needs. We will help children to settle into school life, fill gaps in their learning, build confidence, enhance social skills and guide children to regulate their emotions.
In the morning, we cover English and Maths, reading, phonics and spelling as well as having time for Brunch where the children learn life skills in food preparation, setting the table and tidying up afterwards in addition practising social skills; sitting together, talking together and enjoying each other’s company while we eat.
During the afternoons, our sessions focus on core subjects: Science and RSHE as well as completing topic work including History, Geography and Art, in addition to sessions that will support building confidence, resilience and self-esteem. We plan our curriculum to support the children’s learning, needs and development. We take part in social and team building activities - considering how to be a good citizen; we practise our life skills including cooking, sewing and First Aid; and we also take part in activities that help to develop communication, processing and organisation skills, for example barrier games and Theraplay.
